why is daisy with Gatsby?
I don't get why any of these people are friends cuz they fight a lot.
nick is the only normal one to me becuase he's more like a modern day character
symbols were the spectacles and the green light

GATSBY CHAPTER 8 NOTES

nick keeps talking about saying goodbye to Gatsby as if it was the last time talking to him
Wilson goes around to other garages asking for the yellow coupe
Gatsby gets shot by Wilson while he was swimming in his pool
Wilson shoots himself aslo

GATSBY CHAPTER 7 NOTES

used personification by saying "the car drove sulkily away"
ale was beer back then
they sit around wondering what to do and I have never done that

daisy doesn't want to drive to town with tom so she goes with Gatsby
tom takes Gatsbys car, Gatsby takes toms car with daisy

GATSBY NOTES CHAPTER 4

nick goes to another party at Gatsbys house again.
nick and Gatsby drive into the city for lunch and Gatsby tells nick about his life.
nick doesn't seem to believe his story.
when they arrive at the city nick meets Gatsbys friend Meyer wolfsheim and he does something weird with teeth.
haven't finished chapter 4 yet

GATSBY CHAPTER 4

1) Gatsby told nick that when his family died he inherited a great deal of money and he traveled to the European capitals to find jewels and hunt game. He also wanted to escape a sad memory.
2) Jordan tells nick that Gatsby has fallen in love with Daisy Buchanan. She also tells him that Gatsby bought his house in west egg just so he could be closer to Daisy.

I believe the first one becuase how Gastby lives in a nice house and he does seem like the type of guy to make up a story like that. I don't believe the second one becuase I think Jordan is trying to start a rumor.

CHAPTER 3 REMIX

When nick went to Gatsbys party and he was talking to him he didn't realize that he was right in front of his face becuase no one new who the Gatsby was. This reminds me of when I went to a baseball tournament and there were scouts there and I got invited by the coach but I didn't know what he looked like so I was talking to this guy and I started asking about the team and it turned out to be the coach of my baseball team.
